Muhammad Ali was the goddamn blueprint. This man made it possible to see another world. Do you guys understand how utterly transcendent it was for him to completely relinquish fear of man and man made oppression. Y'all think its bad now? Imagine being a black Muslim during Jim Crow saying what he was saying about everything. Vietnam, Black struggles, Palestine. And so publicly and brazenly. He could’ve been killed, his family exiled, his career taken. All very real consequences he experienced to some extent. He DID that. This ain’t happening again. Never. Ever. We will never see another person even come within a light year of Ali’s social finesse and radical persona. Mind blowing, truly.
